A day at Google
Google welcomed the leaders of our community in Colombia. Timbalé, EvasyAdanes, Fundación Santa Isabel, Doctora Clown, Coschool, LALA, Bive, Más por Tic, and Soydoy attended to enhance their marketing strategies and learn about new digital tools.
We started the day excited and recognizing our social impact. We were also thrilled to explore Google's suite of tools and facilities. Dora Buitrago, Google Account Executive, shared:
“I encourage everyone to have confidence in their achievements.”
We did the #IamRemarkable self-recognition exercise, where we wrote sentences starting with the phrase “I am remarkable because…”. This activity was led by Dora, who shared her inspiring life story and how she came to work at Google. Fabrina Acosta, founder of EvasyAdanes, remarked:
“At Propel, I learned that we shouldn’t wait for others to recognize our achievements; it's important to practice self-recognition."
Next, Maria Camila Caicedo, Account Manager of Consumer Packaged Goods at Google, introduced us to Google Trends for social organizations, as well as Google Ads and Google Trends for data analysis and research.
Maria also presented the Full Funnel Strategy, emphasizing the stages of reach, conversion, condensation, recognition, and action, and discussed how these tools would integrate with Gemini, Google’s AI.
Through automation, CRM management, and databases directly integrated with Gemini AI, Edgar Ávila, Cloud Customer Engineer at Google, took us through real examples and questions from the fellows to explain how some Google Workspace tools work.
Edgar showcased tools for social organizations like Looker Studio, App Script, App Sheets, and Market Place to enhance impact and streamline processes. Check it out here.
We ended the session eager to continue learning how to use these tools. We wrapped up with a group photo to remember the strength of Latin America's social sector. It was a true exchange of experiences and a space to imagine a better world with technology.
